# Torch sizes

The torches have proportions as close as possible to the golden ratio, ie. the ratio of the height of the base to the tube out the base is as close as possible to 1.618 and the same is true for the diameter of the tube compared to the diameter of the base.

Diameter and height of the base: 10cm
Length of the outgoing tube: 16cm, tube diameter: 4cm
Ideal ratio of the base height vs. the length of the outgoing tube: 10cm x 1.618 = 16.18cm
Ideal ratio of empty base width vs. the diameter of the tube: 4cm x 1.618 = 6.47, total base diameter 4 + 6.47 = 10.47.

Diameter and height of the base: 16cm
Length of the outgoing tube: 26cm, tube diameter: 6cm
Ideal ratio of the base height vs. the length of the outgoing tube: 16cm x 1.618 = 25.88cm
Ideal ratio of empty base width vs. the diameter of the tube: 6cm x 1.618 = 9.71, total base diameter 6 + 9.71 = 15.71.

• L
Diameter and height of the base: 18cm
Length of the outgoing tube: 29cm, tube diameter: 7cm
Ideal ratio of the base height vs. the length of the outgoing tube: 18cm x 1.618 = 29.12cm
Ideal ratio of empty base width vs. the diameter of the tube: 7cm x 1.618 = 11.33, total base diameter 7 + 11.33 = 18.33.

Diameter and height of the base: 23cm
Length of the outgoing tube: 37cm, tube diameter: 9cm
Ideal ratio of the base height vs. the length of the outgoing tube: 23cm x 1.618 = 37.21cm
Ideal ratio of empty base width vs. the diameter of the tube: 9cm x 1.618 = 14.56, total base diameter 9 + 14.56 = 23.56.

Diameter and height of the base: 30cm
Length of the outgoing tube: 48cm, tube diameter: 12cm
Ideal ratio of the base height vs. the length of the outgoing tube: 30cm x 1.618 = 48.54cm
Ideal ratio of empty base width vs. the diameter of the tube: 12cm x 1.618 = 19.42, total base diameter 12 + 19.42 = 31.42.
